Network Planning Consultant

The selected candidate will be responsible for researching and constructing case studies based on real world examples of equipment and network infrastructure failures as a result of natural or man-made disasters. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with multiple aspects of telecommunications networks to include, outside plant, inside plant, fiber laying, microwave, media gateway provisioning, transmission equipment and switch provisioning and configuration. The selected candidate should also have an understanding of country specific and regional issues and opportunities for development.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Researching and assembling professional appearing case studies based on specific incidents or technologies, to include explanatory diagrams as well as narrative texts

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must have management experience and a College degree in related field, preferably a B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Telecommunications with a minimum 7 years experience with voice and/or data telecommunications, or combined equivalent education and work experience. The candidate must be detail oriented and able to work under compressed time schedules. The candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team.
